My dad, Javier Bernardo Lis, was 62 when he lost his fight with cancer and other medical issues after a six-year battle. He loved with all his heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. He helped form me into the young lady I am today at 17 years old, and I am forever grateful. He was passionate about music, especially the Beatles, loved soccer, and enjoyed learning about different cultures. His kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him.

Unfortunately, after his long illness, my dad was unable to work for the last three years of his life. This left our family without savings to cover the costs of his funeral and ceremony. We are now facing outstanding expenses that we simply cannot manage on our own. It’s been a very difficult time for us, both emotionally and financially, as we try to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
