Help Honor Gregorio Santos Jr.'s Memory

Hello, my name is Esmeralda cousin of Gregorio Santos JR. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of the Santos family. Here is a little recap of Greg: Greg was a 24 year old young man who had always had a rough health history since he was born undergoing surgery right away because he was born with twisted intestines. Greg was first diagnosed with testicular cancer which then developed to (G-U) germ cell cancer. Those types of cancer required immediate chemotherapy; that started in October 2023 and was last attempt June 2024. During that time Greg felt like a completely different person, he began to lose all his hair and developed changes in his body that he found hard to accept and made him feel numb. On Friday, January 12, 2024 Greg went unresponsive and had a seizure at home whom his strong mother had to witness, they called 911 and transferred him to the nearby hospital where he had two more seizures. At the hospital they did a CT scan of the head to make sure it wasn't damaged and they unfortunately found a mass in his frontal left lobe. The hospital made sure to stabilize him and transferred him to his treatment hospital in Tampa General. In that hospital they did an MRI and in more detail unfortunately found out it was the same cancer as in the lungs Germ Cell that traveled to the brain. There is no medication or chemotherapy strong enough to help with the tumor in the brain, instead a group of physicians met and they determined the best thing to do is do an open head surgery to remove the cancerous tumor on Wednesday January 17, 2024. After the surgery, Greg continued chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy did not help. The Germ Cell spread throughout his body; in his frontal lobe, lungs, liver, kidneys, spinal bone marrow and throat cancer. Once it got everywhere else, the doctors had decided no chemotherapy or medication would help Greg fight this. Undortunately, on June 15, 2024 at 7:52pm Gregorio Santos Jr. was declared deceased. As everyone knows, funerals can be expensive. Today We are asking if anyone CAN help US raise money to properly give Gregorio the funeral he deserves. Anything HELPS the Santos family as they mourn the loss of their brother & son.

Hola, mi nombre es Esmeralda, prima de Gregorio Santos JR. Estoy iniciando esta recaudación de fondos en nombre de la familia Santos. El viernes 12 de enero de 2024, Greg no respondió y tuvo una convulsión en casa de la que su fuerte madre tuvo que presenciar, llamaron al 911 y lo transfirieron al hospital cercano, donde tuvo dos convulsiones más. En el hospital hicieron una tomografía computarizada de la cabeza para asegurarse de que no estaba dañada y, desafortunadamente, encontraron una masa en su lóbulo frontal izquierdo. El hospital se aseguró de estabilizarlo y lo transfirió a su hospital de tratamiento en Tampa General. En ese hospital hicieron una resonancia magnética y, con más detalle, desafortunadamente descubrieron que era el mismo cáncer que en la célula germinal de los pulmones que viajaba al cerebro. No hay ningún medicamento o quimioterapia lo suficientemente fuerte como para ayudar con el tumor en el cerebro, sino que un grupo de médicos se reunió y determinaron que lo mejor que se puede hacer es hacer una cirugía de cabeza abierta para extirpar el tumor canceroso el miércoles 17 de enero de 2024. Después de la cirugía, Greg continuó con la quimioterapia. Desafortunadamente, la quimioterapia no ayudó. La célula germinal se extendió por todo su cuerpo; en su lóbulo frontal, pulmones, hígado, riñones, médula ósea espinal y cáncer de garganta. Una vez que llegó a todas partes, los médicos habían decidido que ninguna quimioterapia o medicamento ayudaría a Greg a luchar contra esto. De forma inoportunada, el 15 de junio de 2024 a las 7:52 p. m., Gregorio Santos Jr. fue declarado fallecido. Como todo el mundo sabe, los funerales pueden ser caros. Hoy preguntamos si alguien PUEDE ayudarnos a recaudar dinero para darle adecuadamente a Gregorio el funeral que se merece.
