Hello, my name is Michael. I am one of Faye's grandchildren. She was the first person to hold me after birth. I was raised by my grandparents for the most part and was, and still am, very close to them. They were pretty much the Dad and Mom I didn't have growing up. So this whole situation hits hard. I'm not ready to be doing this! This has been something hard to accept. My mother passed away on Aug 29th of this year and I'm still dealing with that, even if I don't show it. I don't like being vulnerable. And now the time has come; we are in agreement to move my Grandma Faye into a hospice house.

I still would rather try to fix things than accept this. I've been assisting and helping her the past few months due to her being abandoned at my house a few weeks after Faye's house caught fire and can't be lived in. I still need to make a trip there to clean up and figure out what to do with things.

She has had a rough last few months with things that have happened to her and being neglected. She was doing better here, but she kept having issues with her A-fib and uncontrollable blood pressure. She was at the ER and admitted on 5 separate occasions since June. She was having some bad med issues and was dismissed. And I will tell you what, she had a broken heart as well. *Has.
There is so much I can speak on to what happened to her and other stuff, but I will leave it be. What needs to be known is this woman is an absolute sweetheart ❤️ She has always been polite, well-mannered, and cared about people. Even when you think she didn't, she has. She spoke about her grandkids and great-grandchildren a lot. She may have not gotten to spend the time or such she wanted to, but she loved everyone. You will be hard-pressed to find a person to talk negatively about Grandma Faye! She's a doll! Beautiful inside and out, and I love her so much. And I'm not ready for this. I'm overwhelmed and breaking apart, but I will do what's best for her and keep her comfortable

Ok, I hate doing this... But as of recent, I have come to find out she has zero life insurance. She did at one point, but someone took a loan on it and never paid it, so she technically owes them money. But I'm still working on my mom's passing, Grandma Faye's oldest kid, and far from prepared for this. So to just put it out there, I am not a wealthy person. Grandma Faye wasn't either. So being that she is moving to hospice, we're not going to be able to pay funeral costs and burial. Trips to South Dakota, hotels, bills that I took over for her. Ya know, just everything that comes along with this type of situation. So yes, I'm asking for help! Anything at all helps. I'm ashamed that I can't do this on my own, but I love that woman, so let's set dignity aside and ask for help! Faye absolutely deserves the help! I have no date to give when this is needed by, but what I will share, something can happen any day now.
