In Loving Memory of Gerard William Zuniga, Jr. “J.J.” of his Loving Legacy.
Our hearts are broken as we share the devastating news of the loss of my little brother, Gerard Zuniga Jr., also known as “J.J.”. We are now putting my brother to rest and we are so very brokenhearted. Words cannot express the pain our family feels right now.
J.J. was a kind, loving soul with a big, beautiful smile that could light up any room. He had a special way of making people laugh and feel loved. He was a Cardiovascular Technician for 8 years with UCSD and saved countless lives. He loved cycling on the weekends to Del Mar with our sister and cousins. He was a proud uncle of 2 nephews and 4 nieces, and had two great-nieces who adored him and loved spending time with their Uncle J.J. His presence brought so much joy, warmth, and laughter to our family.
J.J. was also a devoted son and brother, always offering love, laughter, and support to his sisters and father. He had a deep, tender heart and carried a quiet strength that held our family together through difficult times. J.J. grieved deeply for our mother, who passed away three years ago she was his world, and now we take comfort in knowing they are reunited in peace.
He also leaves behind his pride and joy, Spikey, his beloved dog and loyal companion who brought him comfort and unconditional love every single day.
We are now faced with the heartbreaking task of laying him to rest and saying our final goodbyes. We are creating this GoFundMe to help with funeral and memorial expenses, and to honor his memory in a way that reflects the love and light he brought into all of our lives.
Any donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give, please share this page and keep our family in your prayers.
Thank you for your love, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
With love,
The Zuniga Family and Flores Family
