My worst fear has been realized , my beautiful baby sister, Geneva Lamy, is nearing the end of her 7 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. At just 42 years old, Geneva has fought with incredible strength and grace since being diagnosed at only 35. Unfortunately, her liver is now failing, and her medical team has confirmed that there are no further treatment options. She has been transitioned to comfort care, where our focus now is keeping her surrounded by love and peace. Unfortunately , they believe she can fight on for another week or two, but I believe in miracles and she is a fighter! My sister WILL defy these doctors again, if you know her defiant personality, you know she isn't accepting this!!

Geneva is not only my sister, she’s my heart! We grew up inseparable, two peas in a pod, and I can’t imagine life without her laughter, her kindness, or her love. She’s also the proud mother of her 12-year-old son, Xander, who has been her reason for fighting for so long.

Like so many young people, Geneva never imagined facing something like this at 35. Most people her age don’t yet have life insurance, and once diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, she became ineligible for coverage.
