Gene Jeffrey Seim of Shelby Twp, MI, born October 18, 1958, was tragically shot by his stepson on July 9, 2026. Gene was in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. He had lost his wife three years ago. We never had a proper ceremony for her as it was also tragic and we were all at a loss.He was a devoted father to Jeffrey Seim (Jennifer Seim), Riane Seim Leppen Hutchinson (Jennifer Hutchinson ), and Arianna Beemer who was a victim through all of this and a loving grandfather to Jameson, Johnathon, Jessica, Julian, and Savannah. He is also survived by his siblings Victoria Contrucci(Thomas)

Valerie Dye(Dale),Ronald Mann(Dawn) and Stacey Obrecht(Eric) along with several nieces and nephews he cherished dearly. I am one of Genes nieces, I definitely see a need for help as the loss of my uncle was very unexpected and tragic words cannot express how awful this all was.There is no life insurance to help cover the costs for cremation, urns, administrative bills, legal documents and handling as well as any fees. Any missed work due to grief, laying Gene(Jeff) to rest and planning will largely impact Riane and Arianna as well. Several days will have to be missed for court and victims therapy.The funds raised will go directly toward Jeff’s kids ( my cousins) as I assist them by creating a memorial to honor Gene's life and service. Your support will help ease the financial burden on his children and family during this difficult time.
