Gene Jeffrey Seim of Shelby Twp, MI, born October 18, 1958, was tragically shot by his stepson on July 9, 2026. Gene was a veteran in the Air Force and had lost his wife three years ago. He was a devoted father to Jeffrey Seim (Jennifer Seim), Riane Seim Hutchinson (Jennifer Hutchinson), and Arianna Beemer, and a loving grandfather to Jameson, Johnathon, Jessica, Julian, and Savannah. He is also survived by his siblings Victoria Contrucci, Valerie Dye, Ronald Mann, and Stacey Obrecht, along with several nieces and nephews he cherished dearly.

This loss was very unexpected, and there is no life insurance to help cover the costs. The funds raised will go directly toward burial expenses and creating a memorial to honor Gene's life and service.
