Help Honor Gabriel's Memory in Connecticut
Donation protected
Friends & Family,
This has been an unimaginable week for my sisters and I navigating our brother’s unexpected death. Anyone who has known me for any period of time has heard me share how eccentric and difficult our Mom can be. We have tried our best to support her all week. It all came to a head this morning when she refused to print his below obituary, denied prayer cards, and said no to sharing pictures of his life during his viewing this afternoon. Lastly, she is insisting on moving him from Connecticut to Maryland to be laid to rest, away from his three children and others who love him. My brother moved to Connecticut when he was in elementary school and never left. He should be buried there. Consequently, we are asking for donations to help cover his burial in Connecticut and possible legal fees.
Gabriel’s viewing will be held this afternoon, February 21, 2025 from 4-8 pm at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home located at 88 E Main St, Meriden, Connecticut, 06450.
Any donation is appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
With love,
Melisa, Heather, & Megan

It is with broken hearts that we announce that our beloved, Gabriel Lennon Kelly, has passed on to be with our Lord for eternal life. Gabriel was dearly loved by many. He was a son, a brother, a nephew, a father, and a dear friend. He is survived by his Mom, Lisa; Dad, Kevin; and Stepfather, Neil; Grandma, Patricia; Aunts, Colleen and Maureen; his high school sweetheart, Vanessa; Daniella, Mother of Adriel; his sons, Adriel and Gabriel; daughter, Makiyah; sisters, Melisa, Heather, and Megan; brothers, Kaya and Connor; nieces, Alana, Victoria and McKenna, nephews, Elvis, Elias, Jalen, Jeremiah, and Maximus; and many friends he held close to his heart. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mahlon and Doris Carroll. Gabriel started his early life in Southern Maryland. Gabriel was the youngest of four. He was the long-awaited son his mother dreamed of. He had three older sisters who were enamored with him from the day he was born. His sisters adored their little brother; the memories of peering into the little baby boy’s crib will forever be imprinted in their hearts. As a young child, he loved the beach, fishing, and riding his bike. His sisters have fond memories of long bike rides down country roads to the beach, where he loved spending time at the Chesapeake Bay. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, which was apparent from a young age. He wanted to work and earn his own way. As a very young boy, he would go door to door to ask neighbors if he could help with household tasks. His driven and determined spirit led him to pursue various business ventures. He started with a donut business and then opened a restaurant at 18. Gabriel loved bringing people together over good food in a warm atmosphere. He had the biggest heart. He was kind, loving, and a giving friend. Gabriel was a loyal and kind soul. He wanted the best for everyone in his life. He would do anything for his family and friends to ensure their happiness and safety. Gabriel was devoted to his children. His children were the center of his world. His children brought him the most joy. He was so proud of his children as he watched them excel in various activities, such as cheerleading, volleyball, football, and basketball. He had a long-term relationship with his high school sweetheart, Vanessa. They enjoyed many good times over the years, traveling and loving their two children. Gabriel was also father to Adriel, whom he shared with Daniella. Adriel held a special place in his heart and was loved dearly by his father. Gabriel had a love for fast cars. He was working towards an electrical apprenticeship. We are devastated and forever heartbroken that we won’t get to see him live his life to his full potential. We are blessed to have had Gabriel in our life, and may his soul rest in peace until we meet again. We love you, Gabby.
