Evan F Shaff was my brother, and he had a sick sense of humor and an eagerness to be present and help others. He brought light and laughter to everyone around him, always ready to lend a hand or share a joke. Evan faced many challenges, including severe Crohn’s disease, but he never let it dampen his spirit or his willingness to support those he cared about.
Evan was a proud student at Northwood University, part of the business management program for EA Sports gaming. Being at Northwood University meant the world to him, and he was the first child in our family to go to college. His dedication and passion for learning inspired everyone around him, and he cherished the friendships and opportunities he found there.
Recently, Evan experienced unforeseen blood clots that had been developing for years without his knowledge. After a routine hospital visit for his severe Crohn’s disease, he suffered from pulmonary embolism, leading to his sudden passing. Our family is heartbroken, and we are struggling to cover the costs for his cremation and memorial arrangements. A full funeral is beyond what we can afford, and we want to give Evan the dignified farewell he deserves.
We are reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Every donation, share, message, and prayer means more to us than words can express. Knowing that so many people care and are willing to help us honor Evan’s memory has brought comfort and strength when we needed it most. Your support is helping us celebrate his life and legacy, and we will never forget the compassion you have shown our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. In a time of grief, your generosity reminds us that we are not alone.
