Help Honor Enery Serrano's Memory

Support the Serrano, Alamo, and Vazquez family after their loss!

Hello, our names are Helen and Kevin and we appreciate you taking the time to read our story.

Our mom, Enery Serrano, had been sick for a while constantly in and out of the hospital. She had been dealing with various health conditions, one of which was her heart problems. Through trials and tribulations, she was finally able to remain out of the hospital for some time when some unexpected devastating news came through. Our grandmother (Enery's mom who lives in Puerto Rico) was taken to the hospital in dire condition.

The loss of her eldest son, Rafael, in November 2020 left a void in her heart that never quite healed, contributing to her already deteriorating weakened state. She had suffered several health scares over the past few years that had taken a toll on her.

Her mother was her best friend, so to hear she was in such distress was extremely painful news to her. Despite all of that, she still set out to arrange what would turn out to be her final moments with her mother. She took the next available flight out with our uncle (Enery's brother) to Puerto Rico. Their reunion didn't come to fruition as our grandmother had passed shortly after they had landed.

As if losing our grandmother wasn't heart-breaking enough, not only but two days later we had to suffer yet another terrible loss. The passing of our own mom while she was out there.

Our mother was just the most amazing wife, mother, and friend to all. Anyone who stepped foot in her home felt welcome and at ease, including being able to call her Ma while eating some of her homemade Puerto Rican cooking.

She truly was a beacon of comfort for us. We wake each day hoping that this is all just some horrible nightmare and that our mom is coming back home.

Between making arrangements to transport her back and funeral expenses, it has proven to be difficult as well as expensive. We ask that you please share and/or donate. All funds will be used to make sure that we are able to provide proper arrangements to our dearly beloved mother. Any amount you're willing to contribute is greatly appreciated; and if you aren't able to donate at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us so everyone can see just how missed she is.

Enery leaves behind our dad (her husband) Felix Vazquez and three kids, Kevin Alamo, Helen Vazquez, and Johnny Vazquez. She also leaves behind her brothers, sisters, and extended family.

We thank you for taking the time to read this during our difficult struggle.
