Help Honor Eldon Joplin's Memory

My name is Joyce Joplin (Volkers). I'm asking for help with funeral expenses. My story is a hard one, something a child should never have to go through. On August 10, 2025, I stopped to see my dad and drop off some fruit he wanted on my way back from bringing his great-grandson home from the hospital. When I came in, I found my father gone. Thankfully, I had my son-in-law with me because he had to make the call to 911. He and I are the only ones besides the professionals who saw my father. We did not allow my daughter in to see anything for her safety. She needed to remember grandpa in the way she saw him last.

Let me tell you a little bit about my father. His name is Eldon Joplin. Everyone knew him as Butch. My dad served in the US Navy on the USS Vulcan as a Hull Maintenance Technician. In 1981, he married my mother and divorced in 1995. They have 3 children. He had his ups and downs with his children, but no matter what, he still loved them unconditionally, even if he didn't show it. He worked at Peterson Springs until he retired about 6 years ago. He was also on the Greenville Fire Department for many years. In 2003, he married his second wife and divorced in 2017. With that being said, he didn't leave me anything to pay for his funeral expenses. It's hard on me because I didn't have a job due to taking him to doctor's appointments and that. I'm not sure when I need all the money for the cremation, but anything would be appreciated. The money will be used for his cremation and whatever is left will go on what debt and his celebration of life.
