Edward Castillo was my brother, and he struggled with mental health issues for over 17 years. When he was well, Edward was happy, quiet, helpful, and loving. He brought warmth and kindness to our family, and his presence was a source of comfort to those around him.

Recently, Edward was released from a mental health ward. Our family was not aware of the depth of his struggles, and sadly, Edward lost his battle with his mind, overdosing on his own psych medication. His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving us heartbroken and unprepared.

We want to honor Edward’s memory with a basic memorial and funeral service, but we do not have the funds to do so.
