We are raising funds to help with funeral and memorial expenses for Earl Phillip Swonger, who passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 73. Earl was born May 12, 1952, in Chardon, Ohio, and grew up in Middlefield. He later made his home in Salem, where he was part of the Bible Methodist Church community.
Earl loved music especially singing at church and playing the piano and organ. In Middlefield, he was known as a dependable driver for his Amish friends and took pride in his work delivering for Domino’s, where he earned a safe driving award. Above all, Earl will be remembered as a loving, caring friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Salem Bible Methodist Church (1647 North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, OH 44460). Calling hours will be from 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service. Interment will be held at the Village of Middlefield Cemetery on East High Street (State Route 87) just east of Thompson Avenue at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward funeral, memorial, and related end-of-life expenses. If you’re not able to give, we would be grateful if you would share this fundraiser and keep Earl’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for helping us honor Earl’s life and memory.
