Doris Whitlock is my mom, and she’s always been a force of nature. At 64, she’s spent her life overcoming challenges, from a childhood car accident to a cancer diagnosis just six months ago. In the early 80s, she traveled the world as a professional wrestler known as Sabrina, inspiring so many with her strength and determination. Later, she built a career as a real estate agent, always working hard to provide for our family. Despite her tough exterior, those who truly knew her saw a loving, kind-hearted woman with strong morals and a deep love for her family—especially her own parents, who meant the world to her.
Some of my favorite memories are the beach trips she made sure my brother and I had every year. Even as life got harder, she found ways to bring us together and create moments of joy. Doris kept her wrestling spirit alive, making cameos until she was 55, and she touched the lives of so many people along the way. Now, as she rests in hospice, I am facing the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye without the means to give her the farewell she deserves.
I have no funds to cover the costs of a plot, service, or funeral arrangements. My hope is to honor Doris’s memory and the impact she had on so many by giving her a proper goodbye. Any support will help us lay her to rest with dignity and celebrate the incredible life she lived. Thank you for helping me remember Doris for the strong, loving, and unforgettable person she is.
