Help Us Honor Dixie Lynn Moore's Final Wishes
May 2, 1962 – 2025
With broken hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Dixie Lynn Moore. She passed away peacefully in her sleep from MRSA pneumonia. In her final hours, she courageously requested to be taken off all life-prolonging devices, choosing to rest peacefully and without pain.
Dixie was born in Eugene, Oregon and was the second eldest of five siblings. She was a loving mother to four children and a proud grandmother to six. Despite battling a progressive form of Multiple Sclerosis, she remained one of the most compassionate and joyful souls you could ever meet.
She was a devout Seventh Day Adventist with a huge heart for animals—especially Chihuahuas, Siamese, and Black Cats. If you knew her, you knew how much she loved primates—Silverback Gorillas held a special place in her heart.
Unfortunately, Dixie did not have a savings plan or life insurance. We’re asking for your support in raising $4,000 to help cover her final wishes and cremation costs.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help give Dixie the peaceful farewell she deserves. If you can’t donate, please share this with others who may be able to help.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.

If you would rather send donations other than on here. Contact Trixie Hale for details.
We are planning a Celebration of Life instead of a funeral. She wanted a happy gathering of family, friends and loved ones. Wherein we will have a potluck style lunch with picture sharing and laughter. There is not a specific date planned as of yet, but are shooting for the second weekend of June, on a Sunday. Details TBD.
