This is Morgan’s story:
My father, Walter Dean Cason, better known by everyone as “Deano,” passed away on August 8, 2021. He was born on September 22, 1964, and though he’s no longer here with us, his memory lives on in everyone who knew and loved him.
Being 18 years old when my father passed away I was unable to afford a headstone for him and barely able to afford the plot.
Our family is now hoping to raise enough funds to place a headstone at his resting place — something beautiful and lasting to honor his life and give us a place to visit and something to look at to remember him by. Unfortunately, the cost is more than we can manage alone, so we’re reaching out for help.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward creating his headstone. Your kindness and support mean the world to us and help ensure that Deano’s memory is honored the way he deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and help us keep his memory alive.
This fundraiser was set up by Jessica Airhart, who mourns for her friend to have something to look at when she visits her father’s grave. No little girl should have to go visit her father at an unmarked grave. Give her something to look at, to honor, to love while she grieves her fathers passing.
