Help Honor Deanna Johnson's Memory

I cannot believe I am typing this right now. Just a few days ago, I heard her voice and now I'm making a GoFundMe so we can lay her to rest the right way.

My name is Nahla Mitchell and my mother, Deanna Johnson, passed away tonight. I'm being bombarded with calls from detectives and the medical examiner's office telling me I am the next of kin. As I'm crying and trying to wrap my mind around my mother really being gone, I'm not going to sugarcoat anything: I do not have any funds for a funeral or memorial, but I do know my mother wanted a memorial at least. She had lung cancer and struggled with a lot of demons, but she was a great woman. The best woman, to me! She was a mother, a daughter, a mom-mom, a friend, but most of all, MY best friend. Literally, anything helps. Even if you can just click "share." My mother deserved a lot more than what she got the last few years of her life; please help me celebrate her and help me create a beautiful memorial for my mother.
