On August 19, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when David Anthony DeJesus, was tragically struck by a vehicle while riding his e-scooter and did not survive his injuries. David was only 23 years old and had so much life ahead of him. He was a gentle, innocent soul who was just beginning to find his way in life. That day, he had left home to go to the bank and run a few errands, and he was especially excited because he was preparing to attend Comic Con, something that meant so much to him. He wore his helmet and tried to be safe, but heartbreakingly, he never made it home.

David’s parents are now facing the devastating pain of losing their young son while also carrying the weight of approximately $9,000 in unexpected funeral expenses. They live on a fixed income, and our family is asking for support to help ease this financial burden so they can focus on grieving and honoring David’s life.
