My mother, Cynthia, was a tough person who rarely asked for help, always trying everything she could before reaching out. She grew up in a large family with her brother Johnny and sisters Tiffany and Destiny, and her mother Kathleen who was always there for them. Cynthia struggled with the street lifestyle, which made life difficult for her and those around her which eventually led to her having advanced kidney and liver failure. Despite these challenges, Cynthia was a genuine person who tried her best to overcome her circumstances and cared deeply for her family.
Everything changed for Cynthia when her own mother, Kathleen, and sister Tiffany passed away. She wanted to get her life back on track, but by then, the years of hardship had taken their toll. Just this past Thursday, we lost her. Cynthia was stubborn, but she was loved deeply by those who knew her.
We need help with funeral expenses, her headstone, and getting her body cremated. As much as it pained me and my brother that we didn't have a proper mother or father, we had a close-knit family that helped us stay far away from bad lifestyles and see the true beauty in life. Any support would mean the world to us as we say goodbye to Cynthia and honor her memory.
