On Saturday, November 13th, Crest Miller unexpectedly and tragically passed away. Crest was an icon at her work as the day custodian at Fuerte Elementary where she went above and beyond for 11 years, ensuring she not only fulfilled her duties as custodian, but connected with all the teachers, staff, students, and their families. Crest had so much pride in her work at Fuerte which will serve as a lasting legacy.

If you were lucky enough to know Crest, you know firsthand how hard she worked to make everyone feel special. Many students found safety with Ms. Crest as she encouraged kids and worked with them during their recess and lunch. Students loved Ms. Crest, and for many, she was the adult they sought out when they came to school. Her absence will be felt at Fuerte and within the Fuerte community for many years to come.

Crest leaves behind her sons and husband, who say they are lost without her. Crest not only helped run a school, but she had a close family who is deeply hurting as they process the sudden loss of their mom and wife. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs and many other pets who she cared for with love and passion.

In an effort to support Crest’s family during this difficult time, we would like to raise funds to help offset the cost of a burial, and other expenses the family will incur without Crest’s income. Crest has meant so much to so many and this small gesture of community will exactly represent all that Crest stood for in her life. We hope to honor her life by coming together to support the ones she loves.
