On Saturday July 26th, after a long day at work Cody returned home to his RV to spend some time with his beloved dogs Moose and Nova. His loving wife was on vacation with her family in Florida, so he decided to take his new Polaris side by side for an evening cruise in beautiful Grass Range, Montana. While on his drive he unexpectedly came upon a deer in the road and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle overturned multiple times and he sustained injuries that he unfortunately did not survive.
Cody was a loving husband, enthusiastic dog dad, generous friend, and outstanding mechanic. He and Amber have stood by each other as he has traveled on the road working for Kiewit in an effort to invest in a strong loving future for their family. As many know distance can put a lot of stress on a relationship, but Cody and Ambers love was strong and they were held close to each other no matter how many miles lay between them.
Working on the road traveling from job to job created a special brotherhood of relationships for Cody where he was often the teacher and some times the student in the diverse field of heavy equipment mechanics. It would be impossible to list all of the people who's lives were touched by his hard work, infectious smile, and positive energy.
He leaves behind his wife Amber and their three dogs; Moose, Gus, and Nova.
His mother Jennifer Nichol and her husband Jim Nichol. His father James Warner and wife Kathi. Two brothers Blake and Brock, along with his brotherhoods he has formed through his work career.
The sudden and tragic loss of Cody has placed an extreme hardship on his beloved wife, Amber. Due to the uniqueness of them having a home and being from Oklahoma; and him passing away in Montana, she has been faced with increased obligations in addition to the loss of Cody. Unique expenses such as emergency travel to Montana, having to work with a funeral home in Montana, transport of her husband to his home in Oklahoma, an additional funeral home there for their family, transport of his RV, truck, tools, side by side and trailer to Oklahoma, and their dogs.
These are all placing an increased financial burden on her in this already tragic time. If any friends, family, coworkers, or kind souls would like to show their love for Cody and Amber in the form of a donation, they would be very grateful.
