In Loving Memory of Christina Jocelyn Saldana ("Gia")
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and heartbreaking loss of our beloved Christina Jocelyn Saldana, affectionately known as “Gia,” who passed away at just 39 years old. Christina was a devoted mother, a cherished daughter, a loving sister, a caring aunt, and a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind her precious 3-year-old daughter, Angelina—her heart, her world, her everything. Christina poured every ounce of herself into motherhood, always striving to be the light in her daughter’s eyes. Her love for Angelina was pure, powerful, and unwavering.
Christina also had a big, loving heart for her nieces and nephews. She treasured her role as their aunt and took great joy in being part of their lives, always showing them love and support.
Christina saw the world through a poetic and spiritual lens divine, full of opportunities, and endless possibilities. Though she was often reserved, when she opened up, her words captivated everyone around her. You wanted to hear every thought, every feeling that came from her mouth because they were filled with depth, passion, and wisdom.
She was trying to figure out life just like so many of us are. With all its twists and turns, she carried hope, love, and a desire to grow into the woman she wanted to be, especially for her daughter.
“A mother’s love is endless, and Christina’s was filled with hope and a constant desire to be better not perfect, but always trying, always loving, always giving her daughter the best of herself.”
Christina had a gift for making people feel seen and loved, especially on their birthdays. She found true joy in making others feel special and celebrated, always going out of her way to show them they mattered. Her kindness ran deep, and so did her humor and poetic soul.
She was deeply connected to her mother, her best friend in the world, and she held a quiet but strong wish throughout her life for unity in her family. More than anything, Christina longed for peace, love, and togetherness among those she cared for most.
Christina will be missed more than words can say. The love she gave, the light she shared, and the warmth she brought to others will live on in every heart she touched. She was deeply loved, and she will continue to be loved and remembered—through her daughter, through her family, and through the countless lives she impacted. We will honor her memory always.
