Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this. On Thursday, October 9th, my mom, Cheryl Laffin, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, surrounded by her son and husband. A few months ago, doctors were able to catch and repair a large abdominal aortic aneurysm. However, despite trying her best, she wasn’t able to fully recover and suffered a severe cardiac incident she wasn’t able to come back from.

My mom was my biggest supporter and made me the person I am today. Due to the sudden nature, my dad and I are stuck struggling to properly show her the respect we owe her for her years of dedication to us. Not only has she been taking care of my dad in recent years but she supported me throughout my PhD journey. With her support I have become driven to give back in any way I can. I know we aren’t the only ones she’s touched and supported throughout her short years with us. I usually am too proud to ask for help, but this is the biggest time of need my family has ever had. I would greatly appreciate any sort of assistance you are able to provide in giving my mom a final memorial. Thank you all again for your time and for anything you’re able to share.
