Our family is heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Chauncey Newman, a beloved father, son, family member, and friend. Chauncey was only 45 years old when his life was tragically taken after he was shot in his home.

Chauncey was a loving man with a big heart and a bright smile. His life and legacy were centered around his children. No matter what he had, he always found a way to show up for them and be there for the people he loved. He was a true family man, and he embraced many others as if they were his own.

Chauncey is survived by a host of family and friends who will forever carry his memory. He loved drawing and sketching, animals, cooking, and he was a believer in God. He walked in faith daily, remained hopeful for the future, and enjoyed the simple life he built around his children. He wanted to be the best example he could be for them, obtaining his GED and attending both culinary and electrical programs.
