Help Honor Charlotte's Memory with a Proper Farewell
Donation protected
Our mom, Charlotte, started showing signs of dementia. What a horrible disease! She was living in an adult family home for a little over a year and lost over 100 pounds. After many infections, she was transferred to a rehabilitation center in Gig Harbor, ten minutes from my sister's house, so she could check on her more and visit her longer. It was determined that she would need to be placed on hospice. She seemed to be doing much better and even gained some weight back until she got COVID. She actually recovered from that, but stopped putting back on the weight. She was so cute and happy like a little kid.
On July 3rd, our mom had a seizure. It was terrible. She was so tired the next day, but alert and responsive. Everything was good, she was eating food and drinking, but on the 9th she had another seizure. This was way worse. Unfortunately, she went downhill fast from there. She quit eating and drinking. She stopped talking and then became non-responsive. Sunday night she went home to be with the Lord Jesus. My mom was very generous even though she had very little money. She was smart and funny. People loved her. The nurses loved her. One even was almost hyperventilating from sobbing so hard when our mom passed. Another came in very upset saying 'my good friend, my good friend.' My sister heard him speaking softly and believes he was praying over her.
There was a little bit of money, unfortunately not enough to cover the cost of a funeral by any means. I was asked by another family member to create this account as they wanted to donate instead of sending flowers. Any help would be much appreciated as we don't have this either.
