Hey everyone! My name is Barry Carter, and I am fundraising on behalf of my siblings and I to collect funds for a memorial service and cremation for our father Cedric Carter Sr. He did not have any insurance that we are aware of, and we would greatly appreciate any help whether it be financial, motivational, sharing this link and especially prayers as we make arrangements.

Our father was in a terrible car wreck on Easter weekend where he was hit by another driver who was street racing leaving him with 3rd degree burns and in the burn unit ICU fighting for his life. In the last two months, he had around fifteen different surgeries, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his wounds and infection on June 1, 2024, at 8:24AM.

Our father was a private individual and due to the extent of his injuries, we feel like he would not want people to see him in his current condition. All funds collected will go directly towards his cremation and memorial services with details of the service provided for anyone that would like to attend.

The cost of the cremation and memorial service would be $2595 with flowers and an urn costing additional which is why the goal is a little higher.

Our dad had a heart for others and always put others before himself despite everything he had been through, and he deserves to be laid to rest with dignity which is why we are relying on our village to help as much as possible. He had a magnetic personality and could brighten your day with a few words, or a joke and he will be missed so very much.
