My mom, Carrie Lee West, passed away at 90 years old in October 2025 after her health declined rapidly. She was truly one of a kind—kind to everyone she met, and known as 'Mamaw' to half the kids in our neighborhood. Carrie never met a stranger, and it seemed like everyone in town knew and respected her. Her warmth and generosity touched so many lives, and she was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Losing her has been incredibly hard for our family, especially as we also lost my sister suddenly within a month of my mom’s passing. We did have life insurance for my mom, which covered most of the funeral expenses, but there is still a remaining balance to pay. I am also hoping to get a headstone for her, so we can honor her memory in a way she deserves. These past three months have been overwhelming, and it’s been difficult to manage everything while grieving such deep losses.

I am asking for help to pay off the remaining funeral costs, get a headstone for my mom, and cover a few other related expenses.
