Carmen, my mom, was truly a light on this earth. She was always there to help and love everyone around her, even when she needed just as much love and support in return. Last night, her blood sugar dropped dangerously low, and she became incoherent. Paramedics arrived and were able to get her sugars back up, but after they left, she was found unresponsive the next morning. The last thing she said to me at 1am was, “I’m ok, get some rest.” But she was not ok, and her passing has left a deep void in our lives.

I want to honor my mom’s memory by giving her the dignified and loving farewell she truly deserves. In a world where she sometimes felt she wasn’t enough, I want to show her just how much she was loved and valued. Any support you can offer during this difficult time would mean the world to us.
