Help Honor Brother Jorge Jasso & His Family
We Honor You and the life you lived full of light and love, Brother Jorge!
Brother Jorge Jasso passed away Friday morning on July 16, 2021.
We honor Jorge and the way he chose to live life following Christ and full of love and light, and how it showed in the life he lived, every single thing he did and committed to, and the lives he touched! Jorge was the most humble, hard-working, encouraging, light-filled, genuinely loving man of Christ who loved God, his wife Tia Jasso, and his two sons, Jonne Jasso and Jordan Jasso with all that he was. Brother Jorge was a man who lived his life with intention, never wavering in his faith or love for ALL of God's people.
The love between Jorge and Tia, even after being married for decades, was one in a million and for any of us lucky enough to know them, consider yourself blessed! No one is perfect, but they loved each other beautifully and showed each other such grace, which is something to aspire to, value, and honor.
Jorge Jasso was one of the big reasons Ascension City Church was able to get started. As an elder in our Spiritual Family, Jorge was a silent, loving, wise, patient, and giving leader who stood in the generational gap and said YES. When his son Jonne introduced our Pastor to his Dad, the rest was history! Because of the person Jorge was, he said yes and brought a WHOLE school bus of sound equipment, LITERALLY! Jorge was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back, fix your vehicle, feed you, bless you with gas money, bless you with his wisdom if you'd let him, listen to you, and just bless you by being genuinely PRESENT with you in the moment in this walk of life.
Jorge worked hard his whole life to provide for his family and anyone God put in his path by blessing them. He believed it was the little things in life that mattered, and what was on the inside. So he led a life without complaint, but rather with JOY serving others and loving others genuinely, any way they would let him.
We want to honor Jorge and his family Tia, Jonne, and Jordan by asking for donations towards services and life without Jorge as the family adjusts to this loss. We also ask for your prayers for the family and ask you to respect their time of grieving right now. No matter how big or small your donation, every little bit will help and we thank you kindly from the bottom of our hearts in advance.
Jorge believed it was the little things in life that mattered, and that YOU mattered. So thank you for knowing and loving him and his family as well.
WE LOVE AND HONOR YOU JORGE!
