Help Honor Brenda Kay White's Memory

My mom, Brenda Kay White, was missing back in March of 2024 and last seen in Alexandria. Since then, I've made numerous attempts to contact APD, who was on the case, and they told me they had a lead on who may know where she is. This guy, Phillip, had her bank card on him when they took him in for a murder on Walker Lake Road, and they have camera footage of him using her card after she was reported missing. Phillip confessed to murdering my mom but would not tell the police where he put her body.

Fast forward to April 2025, I saw on KALB about body remains found on Lynn Drive in Wardville, and my stomach instantly sank to the floor. It's like I knew this could have been her. I have no clue why I thought this, maybe just wanting closure after a year of her being missing. Well, I commented on the news article and got a call shortly saying they have possible DNA evidence indicating it's 99% sure it's my mom, from a detective on the case.

Fast forward to November 24th, 2025, I hadn't heard anything in 7 months after her body went to Broussard for autopsy and DNA testing, which does not take that long. I decided to do my own digging and called the Rapides Parish Coroner's office and told them about my mom and how long it had been. They said they don't have anybody in their database with that name, so I gave them the whole story, and the guy says, "I'll call you back; let me do some digging." He calls me back and says, "Your mother's body has been in Baton Rouge, and it is indeed a match for your mother. I'm so sorry." Nobody called, nothing. If I didn't call, I would still not know a thing. Phillip is now charged with second-degree murder and will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

My mother was murdered, and she didn't have insurance, so I just want to give her a small little something to remember her by. I went today to Gallagher with the price of what it will cost, and I'm just asking to please help give anything to help. I went through a financial hardship with a divorce back in 2023-2024 and recently filed bankruptcy at the beginning of the year. I can't even get a loan if I wanted to. Times are tough, and I just want to do this for my mom. She gave me life, and that's more than enough reason to do this for her.

I had to do this for my dad back in 2019, and it just doesn't seem real. I lost both my parents and planned two funerals in 6 years. Thank you if you got this far! One day, I hope to tell my testimony and help someone else get through hard times. I believe GOD has a reason for everything, and the more I think about it, I think he is using me.
