Help Honor Billie McCarty's Memory

Update: My husband and I are raising funds for my dad. For some reason it says it's being raised on behalf of him. I believe it's because I'm using his account to withdrawal funds because my account won't allow me to make large withdrawals (if I need that as an option)

My dad, Billie McCarty, unexpectedly and tragically passed away on July 3rd, 2025. I myself am his only child and next of kin. I just recently had a new baby, and this loss is really overwhelming for me to begin to process. Not only emotionally, but now I have to navigate the financial aspects as well, which is not something I want to do while grieving but have to do in order to honor my dad the way he deserves.

I have no idea what the cost of a funeral will be, but I know they can range anywhere from $7,000-$12,000 (per Google). In this economy, I'm really not sure if those numbers are entirely accurate or not. All donations will go to cover the cost of his funeral and any extra will help me with legal fees.

The funeral home needs, roughly at least 2,500 before they can do anything else for us. Unfortunately, I have nowhere close to that in my own personal funds. I even tried to get a personal loan but was unsuccesful. So I have to do the one thing I never do. Ask for help.. I am literally at the mercy of others at this point and I really really hate that. But I'm swallowing my pride and just trying to do what needs to be done. Time and funds are soo very crucial at the moment. As the funeral home wants to lay him to rest soon and stressed the very importance of it.
