Barbie Richins touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, humor, and unwavering support. She was the kind of friend who always knew how to lift your spirits, whether you needed a shoulder to cry on or a good hardy laugh. Barbie’s home was always open to those who needed it and she treated everybody she met like a life long friend. Always offering comfort and kindness without judgment. Even with her own hardships—she refused to let anything bring her down and get the best of her. —Barbie kept a smile on her face and continued to give selflessly to others before doing something for herself. Barbie shared her infectious positive energy, and she was always ready with advice or a helping hand. She was loyal, deticated, supportive and determined to make the best out of anything thrown her way. I myself and so many others looked up to her and followed behind her on anything she stood for. She inspired me to be the greatest i can be and push me to do greater things beyond any goal i set. She was a great mother and loved Megan and Tyler with her whole heart and soul. There is not one thing she wouldnt do for her family.

Barbie leaves behind her two children, Megan and Tyler, who are both young parents themselves, as well as her longtime partner, Tommy. Her sudden passing has left her family heartbroken and unprepared for the costs of cremation, urns, and a celebration of life. We hope to gather at Sparks Marina or Idlewild Park in Reno, Nevada, to honor her memory and the love she shared with so many. I want to also encourage everyone who sees this that no matter how small u think something is when it comes to your health and wellbeing if you feel like something is wrong or different from the norm please get it checked out. If only Barbie had insurance or acted on a simple sigh she might still be alive. Please be mindful of your body and what it tells you because tomorrow is not promised to anyone and life is too short. Love your family and friends everyday and tell them how much you mean to them. Embrace every day and oppurtunity you have in this life because in a blink of an eye it will be gone. I Hope Barbie knew what kind of inpact she made in my life and i thank her for all that she shared with me and my family. I love you Barbie and we will never forget you.
