Author Scott, known to many as Big Tank, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a strong, smart man who loved working with his hands and was always eager to be part of any construction project. His passion for building and fixing things was matched only by his love for his family. As a loving father, big brother, grandfather, and uncle, he touched the lives of everyone around him with his warmth and generosity.
Sadly, my father struggled with severe health issues that he kept private until it was too late. He passed away from a major heart attack—his third—along with kidney and liver failure. The doctors also shared that he hadn’t managed his diabetes properly. At only 60 years old, he left us far too soon, and the pain of his loss is deepened by the fact that he didn’t have an insurance policy in place to help with final expenses.
My name is Loreen Jones, and I am his oldest daughter. I recently moved to Florida, and it was incredibly difficult to get to him before he passed. By God’s grace, I was able to be by his side in his final moments. Now, my family and I are asking for help so we can give my father the proper home going service he deserves. Any support you can offer will mean the world to us as we honor his memory and lay him to rest with dignity.
