My name is Mike Franco, and it is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved wife, Arelis Franco. On August 10, 2025, after 45 days in the ICU battling for her life, the Lord called her home.

Arelis was so much more than my wife. She was my best friend, my partner in everything, and the light of our family. She was a loving mother to our daughter Yareliz, a proud grandmother to Jay, and a daughter, sister, and friend who touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Those who knew Arelis know her radiant smile could brighten the darkest day. She loved deeply, served others selflessly, and lived her life anchored in her faith. She made people feel seen, heard, and valued. Even during her hardest moments, she still thought of others first.

Why We Need Your Help

For the past month and a half, our lives have been consumed with hospital visits, constant prayers, and hope for a miracle. Arelis fought with incredible strength, but her condition brought significant medical costs. In addition to these expenses, we now face the heartbreaking responsibility of planning her funeral.

Our goal is to give Arelis the beautiful farewell she deserves. One that reflects the love, dignity, and grace with which she lived her life. We want to honor her memory in a way worthy of the person she was.

True to who she was, Arelis continued giving even in her passing. She was a registered organ donor, and we were told her corneas will give the gift of sight to someone who is blind. This was Arelis. Always thinking of others, even at the very end.
