My mother, Antje Weber, lived through more hardship than most people can imagine. She grew up in war-torn Germany during World War II, escaped communist East Germany, and eventually met my father when he was stationed overseas. Together, they came to the United States, but life here was never easy. After my parents divorced, my mother worked tirelessly to provide for me, always putting her family first, even when it meant leaving my stepbrother behind in East Germany. She was a good, hardworking woman who could never seem to get ahead, no matter how hard she tried.

Later in life, she found happiness again with my stepfather, but after he passed away, things became even more difficult. Despite everything, my mother never gave up. She faced every challenge with strength and determination, but in the end, she passed away on Monday the 23rd with nothing left and no way to leave anything behind. I lost my business during Covid and have lost everything, so I am unable to move her body from the hospital to the mortuary or take care of her personal affairs. I am heartbroken and lost, unsure of what to do next.
