Help Honor Anthony Galindo’s Life & Legacy

Donation protected
Anthony Galindo's life was cut far too short; his body had endured what most could not survive in a lifetime — colon cancer, diabetes, blood clots, two battles with sepsis, the loss of three toes, years in a wheelchair, and life with two colostomy bags. Though life-saving measures were taken with chemo treatments, Anthony had a reaction that left him unable to walk. Yet those who knew him best will tell you this: he never once complained. His surgeon said it plainly: “He never complained.” The staff echoed it. The residents knew it. Anthony suffered quietly — but he loved loudly.

While quietly fighting constant pain inside an acute medical facility, Anthony wheeled himself down hallways delivering cookies and tech support to other residents. He dressed his 17-year-old Chihuahua and brought the little dog from room to room to lift spirits. He attended activities even on his hardest days. He showed kindness to people who struggled physically and mentally, being their voice, including those who could not always return that kindness. Still, he showed up.

During a 13-hour surgery to save his life from complications of sepsis, colon cancer, and two detached colostomy bags, doctors discovered cancer had spread to his liver — something no scan had revealed. Anthony NEVER regained consciousness.

Now his widowed mother faces the unthinkable—grieving the loss of her son while confronting funeral expenses that can exceed $20,000, compounded by substantial outstanding medical bills.

Today, we are asking for help not just to cover costs—but to give Anthony the dignity in death that he carried in life.

If Anthony’s strength and quiet compassion move you, please consider contributing — not out of obligation, but out of honor. Every gift brings dignity to his farewell and relief to the mother who loved him fiercely.

This is our moment to show up for the man who showed up for everyone else.
