Help Honor and put Tom O. Maxwell to Rest
Donation protected
My father, Tommy (Tom) Maxwell was found passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, May 5th. He left behind no will or life insurance, and was living on social security, which has a death benefit of only $250. Sadly, cremation is upwards of $2000-$5000, costs up front in addition to $1500 cleaning that was necessary for where he was found.
My father dedicated his life to the boyscouts, lived in nature working for various national parks and helping preserve the forest for wildlife. He lived simply, following the rule that you take more (trash) from a space than what you brought in. He was an avid reader and movie collector. He taught me to love nature, love cats and love books. His passions were simple and cherished.
Now I need to put him to rest. I’m asking for help. I’d like to raise enough for a proper scout funeral and cremation. It’s not much but it will honor his life and dedication and give his only daughter and grandson a chance to say goodbye and take his ashes to the places he loved most.
Any help is appreciated.
