Aloha, this week we unexpectedly and horrifically lost a loved member of our family to domestic violence. Her name is Janine Kara Mefi Sturgeon. The outpouring of love from her friends and family shows us that she will be remembered as the kind and caring woman that she was. Janine was studying at UHMC for her degree in Business, and had nearly completed her degree. She wanted to get her life going in a different direction and was taking positive steps toward that goal, with her inspiration being her 13 year old daughter, Honor. Janine wanted to set a positive example for Honor to follow, along with her three older children Greysie, Kalani and Kea, in hopes for them to succeed earlier in their lives in ways she tried, and was gaining momentum towards.

All donations will go towards helping Janine's mom, Evelyn Cabalo and her family, so they can give her a celebration of life and allow her to rest in peace. Any additional donations over and above the COL expenses will go to the benefit of her minor child, Honor.
