I am Alvins' daughter Debbie, our Dad was crossing the street on Everhard in Canton Belden village on Saturday night and was hit by a car. He had a broken Back in 2 places, A broken leg, a dislocated elbow, a broken toe, and road rash over his entire body. He had internal bleeding and his brain was swollen. My Dad wasn't able to get a MRI because when he was 3 years old he was shot in the head with stray bullet and he has a metal plate and shrapnel still in his brain. They had to continue to do CT scans to try and find the bleeding. My father fought hard alongside the doctors and nurses. We tried everything! His kidneys and liver failed. We tried to hook him up to dialysis, to give him a fighting chance, but in the end he was just too tired. He passed away December 3rd. my father set up a Life Insurance Policy about 6 months ago, but because of the time, they will not pay, it had to be active for 2 years.
