Alonzo Kirksey wasn't perfect, but to me, he was as close as anyone could be. He was more like a brother than a cousin, and we grew up side by side, watching Thunder the Barbarian, GI Joe, and Thundercats. Alonzo was just a big kid at heart, and everyone he met, he left an impression on. He was funny, with a contagious laugh that could light up any room. Though he was old school and tough, he had a heart of gold. If you were lucky enough to be claimed as family by Alonzo, you were family for life.

Alonzo's passing has left his loved ones facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses that are more than they can manage alone. Coming together as a community will help honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
