Friday, September 27th, we got a call that our mom was in the ICU with head trauma. Scans show she has multiple skull and facial fractures, multiple brain bleeds, all of which caused significant swelling to her brain. They had to do an emergency craniotomy to remove part of her skull to relieve the pressure from her brain. Our mom is a victim of domestic violence with an open investigation at this time. This Go fund me is for me and my sister to be able to give our mama the funeral she deserves. The doctors keep saying it is a waiting game but that her chances of recovery are not high. so we are just trying to be as prepared as possible. Today we were informed that due to the severity of her injuries, the ventilator is what is keeping her alive at this point.
