Help honor a Marines final wish and legacy

On May 5th, 2025, I lost my partner of 5 years — a proud U.S. Marine — after a difficult month in the hospital. His liver tragically failed, and despite fighting with everything he had, he passed surrounded by love.

His name was Arthur Rapson, and anyone who knew him knew how incredibly hardworking, loyal, and dedicated he was — not just to his military service, but to his family, friends, and the people he worked with every day. He gave everything he had to those around him. He was the kind of man you could always count on — dependable, witty, and full of quiet strength.

One of the greatest loves of his life was his German Shepherd, Princess. He had her since she was a pup. She was his constant companion, and his greatest wish was to see her trained and given the chance to live a full, happy life. Unfortunately, Princess is reactive and needs professional behavioral training to become safe and social — something he talked about often and deeply wanted for her.

Now, I’m left not only grieving his loss, but trying to honor his final wishes. In lieu of flowers or lasagnas and casseroles, I’m raising $5,000 to help cover:

* $3,500 for Princess’s intensive training, so she can live safely and peacefully in a new home.

* $500 for new equipment for Princess

* $1,800 to stay in our home one more month, giving me time to pack and transition, as he was the one who covered rent with his military disability — which stopped with his passing.

* Additional funds to help with moving and settling into a safe space.

This is incredibly hard to ask, but I know how loved he was by friends, family, and fellow service members. If you knew Arthur or simply want to help fulfill a Marine’s final wish, your support means the world. No donation is too small, and every share helps.
