My name is Jacob Helzer. Recently, my grandpa Edward Eugene Copeland, better known as "Gene," passed away due to heart complications. Everyone in the area knew him, and if you didn't know him, you had at least seen him. He walked everywhere he went and loved having conversations with anyone who would talk with him.
The family doesn't have the money to have grandpa buried, so we are humbly asking to donate anything you can, which will go towards the burial.
I know many people in the area will miss seeing him. He had become a normal part of so many people's lives as they went about their day. He was a staple among the town. Wether it was at Wal-Mart, the City Library, or the local gas station...lots of people knew and loved seeing Grandpa. He will be missed by many.
After speaking with the funeral home, it isn't going to take as much money to do the service as we were led to believe. Withthat knowledge we have lowered the goal to $6500. Anything left over after the funeral is paid for will go towards a headstone.
