My name is Doris Lau, and Hong Kong is my home. Even though I now live in the U.S., Hong Kong shaped my childhood, my identity, and my values. Seeing the city devastated by one of the deadliest fires in its history has been heartbreaking beyond words.

A massive blaze destroyed residential blocks and left 128 people dead, 150 people missing, and hundreds of families displaced. Many elderly residents are now without shelter or medication. The scale of this tragedy is overwhelming, and the need for help is urgent.

This fundraiser is to support immediate relief and long-term recovery for the victims of the Tai Po fire. Whether you’re from Hong Kong, the U.S., Canada, or anywhere else, your support will directly help elderly residents who lost their homes, families who escaped with nothing, and those who lost loved ones unexpectedly, as well as children and vulnerable community members, and local groups providing frontline aid. I have trusted, verified NGOs and volunteer groups in Hong Kong who will carefully and transparently distribute the funds for emergency food, water, clothing, hygiene kits, medication replacement, temporary housing, and community rebuilding efforts. I will post updates, receipts, and distribution details to ensure full transparency.
