Help Honey-Bee Get Life-Saving Liver Shunt Surgery

Hi, my name is Haley and I’m fundraising for my beautiful Labrador, Honey-Bee.
Honey is only 9 months old and has recently been diagnosed with a congenital liver shunt a condition she was born with, where blood bypasses the liver instead of being properly filtered. This causes toxins to build up in her body and affects her growth, digestion, and brain function.
Over the past few weeks, Honey became increasingly unwell. She was restless, nauseous, losing weight, and not herself at all. After multiple vet visits, blood tests, and emergency care, we finally got the devastating diagnosis but also a chance at hope.
The good news:
Honey is a strong candidate for liver shunt surgery, which could give her a normal, happy life.
The hard part:
The surgery, scans, hospitalisation, and aftercare are extremely expensive, and while insurance helps, it does not cover everything. The remaining costs are more than I can manage alone.
Honey-Bee is the gentlest, sweetest soul. She loves cuddles, chasing her toys, and being close to her people and her best friend cocker spaniel Teddy.
Seeing her struggle has been heartbreaking and knowing there is a treatment that could save her life makes this even harder.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards:
Specialist imaging
Liver shunt surgery
Hospital care and monitoring
Post-operative medication and recovery
If you’re unable to donate, sharing Honey’s story would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for helping give Honey-Bee the chance she deserves.
