Hi, our beautiful daughter came to us through foster care about two years ago. This last October we were able to adopt. Honey is 4 years old and has been diagnosed with several medical disorders that include a rare genetic disorder, Severe Autism, Epilepsy, and a brain malformation that affects her impulse control and decision making, leaving her unable to keep herself safe. She is also diagnosed with Pika, which means she will try to eat non edible items like string, hair, carpet strands that she pulls out, etc. Despite referrals from her specialists the insurance has denied her the safety bed on the grounds that they don't feel it medically necessary until after she hospitalizes herself from injury. We have decided to purchase the safety bed for her but it is very expensive. We are reaching out to our community for support so we can get Honey her bed as soon as possible. The safety of our little girl that God has blessed us with is extremely important to us and we hope that you will be willing to help us provide her with the safety she deserves. We thank you so much for taking the time to hear our story and hopefully for your support. Below is an example picture of the type of bed the Honey needs.
