Hello! My name is Lauren, if you don’t already know me. This is not something that I normally do; however, my dog, Honey, was diagnosed with colonic carcinoma recently, and I want to make sure she lives the most pain-free life with the time that she has left.
Originally, the vet thought she had a polyp in her colon and recommended having it removed via colonoscopy, which my parents graciously loaned me $5,000 for. However, after the colonoscopy, they informed me that the polyp was not something that they could remove. They did a biopsy of the mass, and it came back abnormal. They are recommending radiation, which will be another $5,000-$7,000. If I can’t afford radiation, they are recommending NSAIDs to help alleviate her symptoms.
We are hoping to move forward with radiation. If you’re able, there are a few ways that you might be able to help us.
