Honey is a 6-week-old puppy who has already endured more than most animals ever should. My friends and I found her after she was thrown from a moving car, and we immediately brought her inside to keep her safe. We called several vets, and after a lot of searching, we were able to get her an appointment at Aquebogue Vet. Honey’s leg was severely infected, and another vet near Ridge told us her foot was dead. It was heartbreaking to hear, but we knew we had to do everything we could to help her.

Honey underwent surgery to amputate her leg, and she’s now on the road to recovery. We want nothing more than to give her a better life after everything she’s been through. As 18- and 19-year-olds, covering the costs for her care has been a massive financial strain. My family and I have already put down as much as we can, but we’re still short of what’s needed to cover her surgery and upcoming check-in appointment.
