Help Honey Fight FIP: Support Her Care

Hi, my name is Dominique and i’m raising this fund to help with medical funds and end of life care for my 9 month old kitten, Honey. Honey become sick overnight and I rushed her to an animal hospital. She was lethargic, vomiting, having diarrhea, refusing food and water and seemed to have lost almost all of her body weight overnight. I woke up to a completely different cat. I knew she needed help right away. Honey had a fever of 104.5 and was diagnosed with FIP. Feline infectious peritoniti. FIP is almost always fatal. The vet told me that she most likely contracted it from her parents. Honey was a stray and was rescued, and I adopted her from the rescue. I kept up on her shots and got her spayed, thinking she would be in my life for 20 years. I never thought I would lose my baby, before she even reached her first birthday. Her diagnosis completely crushed me. FIP has no cure. However, after googling her condition, I have found that some treatments can lengthen her life expectancy and give her a fighting chance. I am a stay at home mother, caring for two boys age 5 and 2. Living in a single income household is tough, especially in this economy. I never expected my poor baby would end up sick like this, so I’m creating this gofundme to hopefully try and give her a comfortable remainder of her life. Anything helps, even just a little.
