Honey Bee is my world. She’s the smartest, most loving dog I’ve ever known, and she’s been by my side through so much—especially after losing five very important people in my life. As someone who’s single with no children, Honey Bee is truly my family, and I can’t imagine life without her. She’s my best friend and has slept up against me every night since I adopted her many years ago. She goes everywhere with me, and my true happiness is just watching her get to experience new sights and smells. She’s truly a therapy animal for me, and I almost can’t sleep without my hand on her side.

Right now, Honey Bee is facing her toughest battle yet. She’s been bravely fighting heart and kidney disease, and now she needs a dangerous and expensive surgery to remove her teeth. She’s in pain every day, and the surgery is especially risky because of her health issues. I’ve already borrowed and spent as much as I can to help her, but the costs keep adding up—between the surgery, travel, medications, recovery, and more tests, it’s overwhelming. Im tapped out on credit cards after so many other hardships and shes cost me around 2500 already up until this past Saturday wich was 1250 plus travel. She is now going to VCA West LA and we are in Bakersfield. Upcoming surgery will be approximately 2500-5000 due to her special needs, lots of teeth coming out, lots of special care, and please, any thoughts, or prayers needed as its very risky for her to go through this procedure, I know I could lose her durring it but they are feeling fairly positive. I must add, shes also is going to need more chest exams as she seems to keep getting fluid in her lungs but they said its not from her heart, so we have to figure that out too. The critical part is her surviving surgery, thats why everyones insisting this place, they want a full cardiology team involved. Shes still active and plays and wants to get the squirrels, wich shes not allowed to do, and still spins to go for rides and walks. Its not her time to go yet.
